Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for participating in the supervision of department personnel, filling in when the Executive Housekeeper is absent, and for performing a wide variety of housekeeping functions. The ideal candidate must be organized, professional and motivated, dependable, capable of working well alone or as a member of a team; must have good awareness of internal and external deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas. Ensure VIP rooms are inspected ASAP


• Assist with leadership and direction for housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness for both the guest rooms and public areas


• Train, motivate, and coach staff members with a friendly and nurturing style


• Submit work orders to maintenance department


• Ensure that operational and safety procedures are followed


• Ensure housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner


• Perform the work of housekeeping and laundry personnel when necessary


• Perform other job related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency as required


• Prior experience as a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role


• Customer service experience


• Excellent communication and organizational skills
