Housekeeping Trainer, full time, evenings

The Housekeeping Services Trainer works under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Services Group /Shift Leader and is responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of patient and non-patient areas, prepares rooms for incoming patients and performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for linen processing. In addition, conducts initial and ongoing training of all Housekeeping Services Assistants. Acts as Group/Shift Leader in his/her absence.

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: 3:30pm-12am

Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40

Wage Range: $18.26-$27.39

Weekend Frequency: Every third weekend

Job Duties:

• Cleans and disinfects patient care areas, offices and ancillary areas.
• Performs general cleaning.
• Performs discharge cleaning.
• Performs isolation room cleaning.
• Performs office and ancillary cleaning.
• Processes waste and linen.
• Processes waste materials in accordance with established policies/procedures. Processes clean and soiled linen in accordance with established policies/procedures.
• Supports department in services and staff meetings.
• Assists Group/Shift Leader with creating, scheduling and conducting monthly department in services/meetings.
• Assists with establishing yearly training calendar and annual competencies.
• Conducts training for all Housekeeping Services Assistants (HSAs).
• Conducts initial training of all HSAs.
• Conducts annual retraining of all HSAs.
• Assists with training HSAs on new equipment and procedures.
• Performs limited Group/Shift Leader duties.
• Carries and responds to Group/Shift Leader pager in their absence.
• Conducts quality control inspections.
