The Housekeeping/Custodial Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring all assigned areas, including offices, shared spaces, restrooms, and break rooms—are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained according to agency standards. The position also requires strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and adherence to agency policies, confidentiality requirements, and customer service expectations.
Core Custodial Duties
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility through daily restroom servicing, shared-space disinfecting, floor care, dusting, and break room sanitation.
Follow safety practices, manage supplies responsibly, and respect boundaries around non-custodial tasks.

Complete work orders, emails, timekeeping, and required training in a timely manner. Manage equipment properly, report hazards or supply issues, and support coworkers during absences or special requests. Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, responsible leave management, adherence to dress code, and maintaining an organized personal workspace.Competencies for Effective Performance

Level III - eighteen months experience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and being able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds. Other work will be in an office environment with computer and telephone skills.
