We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary:

Play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with employment verification processes for the college district. Manage I-9 documentation, conduct audits, and support the HR Employment department with various filings. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently while interacting with a diverse employee population

Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point of contact for I-9 compliance, managing documentation for all new hires, including faculty, staff, and student employees. 
  • Process I-9 forms weekly and participate in new hire orientation sessions to verify employment eligibility.  Upload and maintain records using Workday and E-Verify. 
  • Conduct regular I-9 audits to ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain and prepare detailed reports for internal and external audits.  
  • Review and audit Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) and visa statuses for employees districtwide. Communicate updates and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Respond to initial unemployment claims from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). Collaborate with HR team members to address and resolve claims efficiently. 
  • Maintain accurate records within the filing database related to Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR), ensuring timely tracking and reporting.
  • Resolve compliance issues by communicating with various departments within the organization. 
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management to support departmental goals and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of recent, directly related interviewing/recruitment experience OR any equivalent related combination of training and experience.
 

Equivalency Language
At least sixty (60) undergraduate credit hours and two (2) additional years of directly related experience.

Compensation is determined based on experience.
