Our Human Resources Generalist provides tremendous support to HMC’s management and employees in all steps of the employment cycle.
Primary Functions for this position include:
Verify attendance and time off program according to company policy, approve time cards for payroll bi-weekly
Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires and off boarding for terminations
Monitor performance review process
Schedule and track employee safety training
Manage job postings, recruitment, and application tracking process, including conducting interviews
Build and maintain relationships with local schools and college career departments
Administer company benefits program
Open enrollment
Claims resolution
Invoice audits
Enrollments, terminations, qualifying event changes
Act as Privacy Officer for all Protected Health Information (PHI)
Create and maintain Human Resources Information System records, personnel files, and databases
Ensure compliance with FMLA, EEO, AAP, I-9 guidelines and regulations
Update and write company policies
Investigate and document safety incidents, filing reports with OSHA and Work’s Compensation insurance as required
Provide guidance to employees and management on policies and procedures
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, employment legislation and regulations
Other duties required to maintain the smooth function of the department
An Ideal candidate would possess these skills:
HRIS Management (BambooHR preferred but not required)
Microsoft Office
Time Management
Problem Solving/Analysis
Bookkeeping
Filing and Maintenance of records
Written and Verbal Communication Proficiency
Organization
Project Management
Employee/Customer Relations
Experience in Manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
Required qualifications:
Ability to compute, classify, record, and verify data for use in maintaining records.
Exceptional computer, organizations and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Associated degree in HR, Business, or related field OR HR related work experience and training
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field OR an active HRCI or SHRM Certification
