HSSE Director

• Your mission at Climeworks is to own the safety vision for Climeworks and breed safety as a value through the company. You will be required to develop strategic vision as well as design and implement systems that will scale with Climeworks as we grow.
• You will design, develop and implement HSSE programs across all Climeworks operations: Corporate, workplace, construction, production, testing, and R&D facilities.
• You liaise with regulatory bodies in all jurisdictions with which Climeworks operates.
• You ensure safety standards of Climeworks vendors.
• You train and sustain safety programs developed by the team.
• You provide executive reporting of safety statistics and actions taken.

• You hold a bachelor's degree or higher in health safety or a related field, along with an internationally recognized safety certification.
• You possess 10+ years of industry work experience.
• You have experience in the relevant industry.
• You are an expert in corporate workplace safety.
• You specialize in construction safety and excel in production safety.
• You understand the different safety challenges posed to R&D and production.
• You prioritize health & well-being.
• You demonstrate awareness of COHS (Corporate Occupational Health and Safety).
• You provide direct and clear instructions; you value teamwork, and you emphasize clear communication.
• You are proficient in English.
• Extensive travel to Zurich (potentially relocation) for the first 1-2 years may be needed to develop the leadership and management of the team.
