Position Overview
The Human Factors Test Analyst will assess user interfaces, systems, and products to ensure they are intuitive, efficient, and safe by applying principles of human perception, cognition, and performance. the role involves planning and conducting usability evaluations, analyzing user data, and delivering clear recommendations to enhance design and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Human Factors test execution activities
- Perform and review heuristic evaluations to identify design flaws
- Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data on user interactions, workload, and performance metrics
- Work closely with design, engineering, and product teams to identify usability issues and recommend practical improvements
- Develop testing protocols
- Create detailed reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations
- Identify and report risks, issues, and opportunities to system performance, cost, or schedule
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Factors, Human Factors Psychology, Ergonomics, Design & Environmental Analysis, Industrial Engineering or similar areas of study
- Proficiency in task analysis, user research methods, simulation tools, data analysis, and strong communication skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Familiarity with multiple modeling and simulation tools for human-computer interaction and manpower evaluation is preferred.
- Knowledge of heuristic evaluation and basic data analysis techniques
- Strong analytical abilities with an interest in human perception and cognitive processes
- Proven capability to collaborate in team environments and adapt to dynamic project needs
- Familiarity with UI/UX best practices and experimental design is preferred
Security Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance
