At ACE Thermal Systems, we design, engineer, manufacture, and support high-performance environmental control systems (ECS) and components for extreme temperature and operating conditions and reliable everyday use in aircraft. Position Summary: 

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be a part of the Human Resource team that supports a growing business. Under the direction of a Human Resources leader. • Provide consultative guidance and coaching to managers and employees on human resources-related matters, ensuring alignment with company policies, goals, and objectives. 
• Serve as a subject matter expert on all aspects of employee relations, FMLA, Benefits, employee development, and other HR areas assigned, providing support and advice to business unit leaders. 
• Work with HR team members to establish effective policies and procedures to ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees, including maintenance of the Employee Handbook and on all matters pertaining to hiring and advancements, progressive discipline, termination, lay-off or recalls, health and safety, or any other employee relations issue that may arise.
• Demonstrate ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the management team while assisting and supporting department managers regarding personnel issues.
• Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Assist with ensuring all employee performance reviews are completed annually, ensuring that all employees receive feedback and a merit increase if warranted.
• Provide support to the HR team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, such as providing reasonable accommodation, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
• Work closely with HR team members and HR Manager on initiatives to elevate key processes; develop, implement, and update personnel policies, procedures, and forms.
• Supports, as required, the administration of the Company’s payroll and benefits programs and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field is required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist capacity.
• Working knowledge in areas of benefits administration, FMLA, employee relations required. Familiarity with applicable laws is required. 
• Familiarity with payroll processing, including systems, programs and compliance is a plus.
• PHR/SPHR of SHRM-CP/SCP certification, preferred.
• Proficiency with Paylocity, or similar HRIS/Payroll systems is required.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
