Position Summary

The Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's human resources functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, compensation, training and development, performance management, compliance, and strategic workforce planning. This position works closely with the Director of HR, Employee Relations and Risk Management to support executive leadership and ensures that HR strategies align with organizational goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.


• Partner with leadership to develop and execute strategic workforce planning initiatives.


• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs to attract and retain qualified employees.


• Oversee employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.


• Administer compensation and benefits programs and recommend improvements to remain competitive in the market.


• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, and other applicable requirements.


• Lead performance management processes, including evaluations, coaching, and employee development plans.


• Develop and coordinate employee training and professional development programs.


• Analyze HR metrics and provide recommendations to improve workforce productivity, engagement, and retention.


• Manage leave administration, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and accommodation requests.


• Support organizational change initiatives and workforce restructuring efforts when necessary.


• Maintain HRIS systems and ensure employee records are accurate and secure.


• Supervise and mentor HR staff and support their professional development.


• Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership regarding HR activities and workforce trends.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, preferred or in lieu 5 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a specialized HR area, required.

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of experience in an HR role.


• Experience with employee relations, risk management, compliance, benefits administration, recruitment, and performance management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.


• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.


• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Proficiency with HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting systems.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong organizational and project management skills.
