Compensation & Organization Group Staff - Houston, TX. - Temp.
OVERVIEW:
Provides Human Resources (HR) services and support to address moderately complex problems or issues in an area of HR while maintaining the integrity of the company’s policies and practices.
SCOPE:
Provides services to Aramco Americas Company (AACO), its U.S. subsidiaries, Joint Ventures (JVs), and Saudi Aramco (SAO) employees or candidates in North America.
Key Scope Components:
- 750 employees in the U.S.
- 300 international hires and ~120 local hires (including temporary hires)
- 200 student placements and ~1500 SAO employees and students on various professional and academic development programs
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Advises AACO employees and/or managers in assigned area described below. Ensures that employees, candidates, and students receive equitable treatment and receive HR services as authorized. Ensures that actions initiated by the departments are according to schedule and within policy. Resolves related problems.
- Performs the day-to-day administration and maintenance of benefit plans, salary program, organization design & development, HR employee records, job analysis and documentation, personnel actions, reports, and the company’s service award program.
- Collects and analyzes information relevant to assigned area. Proposes solutions to complex problems by reviewing, interpreting and evaluating available data.
- Performs activities within assigned area such as implementation and maintenance of specialized systems or programs, databases, and internal procedures.
- Performs special projects, long-range studies, and related activities, which are often technical in nature and may involve several different HR functions.
- Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field of study.
- Understanding of HR theory, the HR Lifecycle (recruiting, onboarding, performance management, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of at least one core sub-function of Human Resources and conceptual knowledge of other HR specialties and related disciplines.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations affecting assigned area.
- Understanding of Saudi Arab culture if relevant in assigned area.
- Ability to:
- confidently discuss moderately complex issues with managers and use influence and coaching to ensure compliance to HR policies and procedures in assigned area.
- demonstrate effective interpersonal, persuasion, and communication skills (verbal, presentation and listening) to interact with senior management and colleagues regarding administrative issues, document, and systems processes.
- coordinate competing demands and quickly assimilate information and build solutions to the optimal balance of meeting business needs and operating within financial resource constraints.
- analyze and interpret data and make recommendations.
- prepare accurate, effective, complete and easily understood written communications, reports and presentations.
- handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.
- Proficient with business software applications.
- Typically, at least eight (8) years of experience in a human resources field. Experience in implementing processes, plans, and budgets. Experience in maintaining and improving HR programs.
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly and concisely in English.
