HVAC Apprentice

The Particulars for the HVAC Apprentice:

• Type: Full time permanent employment


• Affiliated with the 486 Union


•  Location: Annapolis/ Baltimore


•  Pay: $24.54-40.90 DEPENDING ON APPRENTICE YEARS/STATUS


•  Excellent benefits with the union and GMS

What you’ll be doing:

• Aid with HVAC Technicians in installation and maintenance of Commercial HVAC units


• Installing, servicing, and fixing rooftop units


•  Use a range of hand tools and equipment for HVAC installation


•  Repair and replace air ducts


• Pick up and give tools, equipment, and supplies from the project site according to orders


• Ensure that all tools, materials, and gear are in good operating order.


• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment.


• Ensure that all HVAC systems adhere to industry standards and regulations


• Organize the staff such that outstanding customer service is provided.


• Self-disciplined in completing assigned chores promptly


• Self-motivated and able to work with little guidance

What you need to bring to the table:

• Must have desire to learn and be coachable


• Must have apprentice status


• Experience with all tools and materials required for HVAC construction and repair


• Technical acumen to perform maintenance, facility, and troubleshooting equipment


• Good Mechanical and Electrical Diagnostic Skills


• Ability to accomplish maintenance and submit for approval


• Capacity to manage individually and self-schedule
