Haven Services with Hetter Heating & Cooling is a growing leader in residential home services across Ohio, delivering trusted Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electrical solutions to homeowners and businesses. We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused HVAC Comfort Advisor to join our expanding Columbus team.

 Position Summary

The HVAC Comfort Advisor is responsible for meeting with residential and light commercial customers to evaluate heating and cooling replacement or renovation needs and provide customized HVAC system solutions. This role focuses on in-home sales consultations, accurate estimating, customer education, and closing sales while maintaining strong profit margins and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Projects may range from small residential system replacements to larger multi-day HVAC installations.

Requirements

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Experience


  • Conduct in-home and on-site consultations for HVAC replacement and installation projects. 
  • Evaluate customer needs and recommend customized comfort solutions. 
  • Present multiple replacement and indoor air quality (IAQ) options tailored to customer preferences and budgets. 
  • Build trust and maintain a professional, customer-first experience that drives high closing percentages. 
  • Follow up on unsold estimates within: 
    • 48 hours after estimate delivery 
    • 7 days after initial follow-up 
    • Additional follow-up 7 days later

Estimating & Project Coordination


  • Accurately assess labor, materials, equipment, and installation timelines. 
  • Prepare detailed and profitable estimates aligned with company pricing standards and gross profit goals. 
  • Coordinate approved projects with the HVAC Manager and Job Coordinator. 
  • Assist with permit setup and project scheduling coordination. 
  • Support warranty registration processes upon project completion. 

Communication & Operations


  • Maintain strong communication with customers, office staff, field teams, and leadership. 
  • Follow up with customers after installation completion to ensure satisfaction. 
  • Review customer feedback and satisfaction forms with management. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records within Service Titan and company systems.

 Qualifications


Required Skills & Experience


  • Previous HVAC sales or estimating experience preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation practices, and current HVAC codes. 
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and construction drawings. 
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills. 
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Service Titan (or ability to quickly learn). 
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude. 
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration. 


Additional Qualifications


  • Experience offering Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) products and solutions preferred. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. 
  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record required.
