Position Overview\: Under the direction of the Crew Supervisor for the HVAV Shop, the Repairer is responsible for performing basic repairs and maintenance on various HVAC building systems within campus facilities, including, but not limited to, preventative maintenance, filters, belts, hoses, etc and assisting HVAC Mechanics as necessary; assists tradespersons and/or performs work independently; does related work as required.

Required\:
Must have knowledge of the procedures, methods, equipment and supplies used in the maintenance of HVAC buildings and their systems, fixtures, appliances and fittings.
Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, verbal and written communications skills. Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. Must have the ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions and assignments.
Must have the ability to work from plans, specifications, sketches, and schematics.
Preferred\:
Broad-based knowledge of various trades and building systems through the successful completion of vocational training or apprenticeship program; Minimum of one (1) year of recent work experience involving building repairs in a large institutional setting (e. g. higher education, school district, hospital).
