This is a hands-on field role for an experienced tech who can be trusted to run their own day — diagnosing, deciding, and completing the job without someone circling back to check the work. You'll work primarily on residential HVAC and plumbing calls across the Vail Valley, with occasional support on larger commercial and remodel projects, including landmark buildings like the Red Lion in Vail Village and recent work at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.
THE BASICS
Location: Eagle, CO (field-based — service area covers Vail, Avon, Edwards, Eagle, Gypsum along the I-70 corridor)
Pay: $25–$45/hr, negotiable based on experience and licensing
Schedule: Full-time. Regular operations run approximately 7:00 am–5:00 pm. Technicians typically handle 5–6 jobs per day depending on complexity; longer jobs may reduce the daily workload to 2–3 calls.
On-Call: Rotating schedule, published monthly. Technicians alternate weekends and typically cover shorter blocks rather than a full week. After-hours coverage currently runs 5:00 pm–7:00 am, though the company is considering tightening this to approximately 6:00 pm–6:00 am. Overnight calls are possible but uncommon.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including radiant in-floor heat and heat pumps
Perform plumbing repair, replacement, and new-install work (faucets, leak repair, water/waste lines, remodels — not drain-specialist work)
Recommend solutions independently — assess the situation and determine the right fix without needing office sign-off
Run 5–6 jobs per day on average, depending on scope
Support commercial preventative maintenance and service work as needed
Maintain and restock company vehicle; log work through Service Titan
WHY TECHS LIKE WORKING HERE
Take-home company vehicle, gas paid
Major tools and equipment provided (vacuum pumps, gauges, etc.) — just bring your own hand/power tools
Health insurance, company pays 50% of premium
2 weeks PTO in year one, accruing over time to a 4-week cap by the 10-year mark
Paid drive time (job-to-job, plus door-to-door on on-call days)
Real variety of work — from routine residential service to marquee remodel projects most techs never get access to
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required:
5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, comfortable with plumbing scope as well (or vice versa)
Strong independent judgment — able to troubleshoot and execute without close supervision
Clean, valid driver's license
Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening
Nice to Have (not required):
NATE certification (carries weight with municipalities on permit work — valued but not disqualifying if absent)
EPA 608 certification
Comfort talking with customers directly about recommendations (light upsell mindset — commission structure still being finalized)
