HVAC Service Technician | North & West Melbourne

If you’re already working as a commercial HVAC tech, you probably don’t need another advert telling you there’s a “great culture”. You want to know whether the job is actually better than the one you’ve already got.

Here’s the useful stuff.

$58 an hour + super.
38-hour week.
13 RDOs a year.
Fully maintained company ute with private use.
Monday to Friday.
Commercial service work across Melbourne’s north and west.

And if you live north or west, you’re not expected to drag yourself across town to a workshop every morning just for the privilege of turning around and driving back again.

The office is in Melbourne’s south-east, but attendance is only required when needed.

What you’ll be doing

This is proper commercial and industrial HVAC service work.

You’ll be carrying out maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics, repairs and some commissioning across a well-established commercial client base.

It’s predominantly service and maintenance, not an install role dressed up with a fancier job title.

The business has a large existing service portfolio across commercial, industrial, warehousing and logistics sites, so you’ll be walking into established work rather than waiting around for someone to find you something to do.

Why people stay

The service division is established, busy and organised.

That last word matters.

You’ll be trusted to run your jobs, deal professionally with customers and get on with the work without someone breathing down your neck.

There’s also a genuine history of technicians progressing internally into roles such as Account Manager and Project Manager.

So if you enjoy the tools now but don’t fancy being on them forever, there’s somewhere to go.

What they’re looking for

You’ll need solid commercial HVAC service experience and be confident with fault finding and customer-facing work.

You’ll also need:

• Refrigerant Handling Licence


• Restricted Electrical Licence for fault finding


• Driver’s Licence

EWP or knuckle boom tickets are useful, but training can be arranged if required. 

You’ll probably suit this particularly well if you live in Melbourne’s north or west, with a good portion of the work around Laverton and surrounding areas.
