OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVES

Job Description

Our CCS sales team is the tip of the spear in customer service and product knowledge. Our customers rely on their expertise, professionalism and efficiency. Our Outside Sales Representatives are tasked with closing significant transactions by meeting face to face with potential or existing customers in their assigned territory. They play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of our products. They maintain connections between a variety of customers to make sales consistently. 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads
  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs
  • Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
  • Provides periodic territory sales forecasts
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, communications, and/or any equivalent education that demonstrates expertise in customer engagement. Five years of proven outside sales experience. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. Having a well-developed phone presence and high comfort level in initiating conversations is essential to fulfilling daily duties.
