Industrial Field Service Technician - Medford Area

Job Summary:

Field Service Tech 1 will accompany a senior technician to learn how to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of our products (industrial machinery; such as, air compressors (5-500HP), positive displacement and liquid ring pumps, refrigerated and desiccant dryers, and vacuum systems) at various customer sites in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of customer equipment


• Learn and follow safety procedures and guidelines


• Keep accurate records of work completed and parts used


• Communicate effectively with customers and team members


• Maintain a clean and organized service area


• Complete the Level 1 PQS (Personnel Qualification Standard) over a predetermined amount of time. 

Additional Job Duties:

• Attend training sessions and meetings as required


• Complete timecards, work orders & paperwork legibly and in a timely manner.


• Some overtime work and occasional overnight travel.


• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Application of mechanical and electrical principles.


• Must have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to recognize common mechanical and electrical components.

Physical Demands:

• Exert force of 50lbs. occasionally, 25-50 lbs. frequently, 10-20 lbs. constantly.


• Bend, twist, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb, stand in the active position of working on heavy industrial equipment.

  Pay Range:

• $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
