Job Description - Industrial Hygienist, Occupational Health Clinic
The Opportunity
Most industrial hygiene roles ask you to protect workers from the outside. This one puts you inside a clinical team. You'll work alongside occupational health physicians and clinicians to help determine whether a patient's illness or injury is work related, then take that answer back to the workplace.
You would be the industrial hygienist for a new Albany satellite office, opened with new grant funding to bring a Syracuse-based occupational health clinical center's services to workers across the Capital Region. The program is being built from the ground up, and you would help shape it.
Why This Opportunity Is Worth a Look
Build something new. You'd help establish the Albany site and program as it grows.
Hours that can grow. The role starts at about 16 hours per week, with more hours expected as the program expands.
Flexible schedule. The part-time structure leaves room for your other commitments.
Clinical context. Your exposure assessments directly support diagnosis and treatment decisions for real patients.
An established team behind you. The Albany office is supported by the occupational health team in Syracuse.
Relocation assistance. Relocation is paid, and the search is open nationwide.
Stated pay range. $75,000–$105,000 annually.
This is a grant-funded, direct-hire staff position.
