Industrial Mechanic Technician

Full-Time | Non-Exempt

ASI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Mechanic Technician to support the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and industrial systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment such as boilers, pumps, compressors, and control systems. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in both routine and emergency situations. This position also participates in an apprenticeship program to further develop boiler technician expertise.

Schedule and Work Hours

• Rotative shift schedule required.


• Availability for overtime, weekends, holidays, and after-hours emergency calls as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment, including boilers, tanks, air handling units, compressors, pumps, fans, and motors.


• Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to equipment and control systems.


• Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently, including after-hours support.


• Assist in the installation and maintenance of motor control systems for mechanical equipment.


• Read and modify system blueprints, schematics, and control circuits as needed.


• Respond to service calls during regular hours and on-call situations.


• Maintain logs and records of system operations and service activities.


• Prepare detailed service reports to document work performed and ensure regulatory compliance.


• Clean and maintain equipment, tools, materials, and vehicles.


• Follow all safety rules and regulations, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.


• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Industrial mechanic technical degree or equivalent experience.


• 3–5 years of experience in plumbing, industrial mechanics, or pump systems.


• Strong mechanical and electronic/automation aptitude.


• Valid driver’s license.


• Strong understanding of job site safety and ability to complete safety training (OSHA 30 preferred).


• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
