Job Summary

Plans and directs all onsite activities for one IWP customer (including multiple sites for the customer) in relation to the dewatering and thermal drying of industrial sludges and the recovery of reclaimable commodities. Follows WM established EH&S policies and procedures and applicable federal, state & local regulations. Manages and plans activities of onsite personnel including multiple shifts for 24/7 operations and events. Acts as liaison between client and vendors in relation to service issues, scheduling, and contract management. Maintains pre-established standards for safety and environmental issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedules and coordinates personnel, equipment and subcontractors for event and long-term dewatering and thermal drying projects as directed by the IWP Senior Project Site Manager.
  • Consults with appropriate IWP leaders and clients to identify and implement dewatering optimization plans. Works in conjunction with IWP Engineering and Business Development teams to evaluate growth opportunities by performing site visits and job walks. Performs sample feasibility lab studies and authors standardized sample performance and recommendation reports.
  • Provides daily oversite of assigned projects and field personnel including rig up & demobilization and routine operations.
  • Ensures daily, weekly, monthly and annual equipment maintenance and repair actions are performed timely within established Company guidelines and communicated to the Senior Project Site Manager.
  • Assists with interviews for prospective IWP personnel. Leads onsite IWP new hire onboarding processes, manages on the job training.
  • Participates in check-in meetings with assigned direct reports and manager.
  • Ensures compliance with client, government regulations and Company policies and procedures by performing necessary inspections and reporting. Reports, documents and resolves all issues in a timely manner. Promotes a consistent culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform assigned duties to comply with customer, Company safety, environmental, federal, state and local regulations.
  • Manages and directs IWP reporting and invoicing requirements. Works in conjunction with the IWP financial partners and assigned IWP Senior Project Manager to provide timely and accurate information for client invoicing, reporting, budget planning, operational expenses and contracts.
  • May occasionally be required to cover for vacations, events and step-up responsibilities as required or assigned by manager.


Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in job related field, or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience
  • 2 years of operation and maintenance of dewatering and/or thermal drying equipment experience as well as prior supervisory experience (in addition to education requirement)
  • Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract requirements Upon Hire and
  • Such testing may include urinalysis, oral swab, drug hair follicle testing and/or alcohol testing. Upon Hire
  • TWIC card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of starting

    ☒ Office: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
     

    Pay: The expected base pay range for this on-siteposition is $70,000 - $84,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
