Infant Nanny Position

Location: North Charleston, SC
Compensation: $28–$35/hour
Commitment Level: Full-time, long-term, live-out
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Start Date: March 2027

Position Overview

A welcoming family is looking for a warm, experienced, and dependable full-time nanny to care for their infant, who will be about five months old when the position begins in March 2027. This is a long-term, live-out role for someone who loves the infant stage and wants to grow with a family through their child's early milestones. The ideal candidate is nurturing, reliable, and confident in every part of infant care, from feeding and sleep routines to developmental play. They also communicate openly with parents and value consistency.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving care for an infant of about five months
• Handle feeding, including bottle preparation and introducing solids when appropriate
• Follow and help maintain consistent nap and sleep routines
• Do diapering, bathing, and dressing
• Plan age-appropriate activities such as tummy time, sensory play, reading, and outdoor time
• Track and support developmental milestones
• Keep a daily log or send updates on feedings, naps, diapers, and activities
• Do child-related light housekeeping: baby laundry, cleaning bottles and feeding supplies, and tidying the nursery and play areas
• Communicate openly and regularly with parents about the baby's needs and progress

Requirements

• Recent, verifiable experience caring for infants under 12 months
• Current infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it before starting
• Knowledge of safe sleep practices and infant development
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to a long-term role
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient demeanor
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
