5 pm Fredericksburg on -call provider takes over call for new consults

PROCEDURES

Required
- Microscopic specimen evaluation
- Management of vascular access devises/central venous catheters
- Familiarity with intravenous medications
- Central line placement
- Intrathecal administration of anti -infective agents

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Eligible
Licenses: VA
Certifications: BLS
Fellowship: Preferred

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations and follow -up care
Cover new consults from 8am to 5pm
Round on assigned inpatients both for consult and primary service
Hand off new consults to Fredericksburg on -call provider at end of shift
Document all patient encounters in Epic EMR
