POSITION SUMMARY

Pinoleville Pomo Nation is seeking a dependable, service-oriented Information Technology II professional to join our team and serve as a key on-site technology resource for employees across all tribal departments.

This is more than a traditional help desk position. As the Information Technology II, you will provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot workstation and Microsoft 365 issues, coordinate with our Managed Service Provider (MSP), support technology projects, and help ensure employees have the tools and technology they need to do their jobs effectively.

The Information Technology II  position will serve as the bridge between our employees, internal leadership, and external technology partners—turning technical problems into practical solutions while keeping users informed throughout the process. The Information Technology II  position provides an opportunity to exercise independent judgment, build strong working relationships, and contribute to the continued improvement of the Nation's technology operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to walk-up, scheduled, and ticketed technical support requests. 
• Provide Tier 2 support for employee technology issues. 
•  Communicate clearly with employees about problems, solutions, timelines, and next steps. 
•  Submit, document, and escalate support tickets to the Managed Service Provider. 
•  Follow up on service requests and verify that issues have been successfully resolved before tickets are closed. 
•  Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding technology needs. 
•  Maintain accurate records of assigned equipment and user devices. 
•  Perform project assignments such as device preparation, user setup, testing, and validation. 
•  Follow established change-management, access, and security procedures. 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

•  At least 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a related role. 
•  Strong knowledge of workstation operating systems and Microsoft 365 user support. 
•  Experience supporting Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint access, and basic account troubleshooting. 
•  A working understanding of networking concepts, including connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPNs, printers, and shared resources. 
• Experience working with a Managed Service Provider or external IT vendor is highly desirable.
•  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
•  Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users in clear, understandable language. 

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

•  Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required. 
•  Position may require travel of up to 10%. 
•  Must be able to move equipment or boxes weighing up to 60 pounds. 
•  Position requires extended periods of computer use and may require remaining stationary for extended periods. 
•  The position operates with minimal to moderate oversight during routine daily activities.
