What you will be doing: Information Technology Specialist
- Manage relevant systems development, enhancement, and maintenance projects.
- Monitor system performance and response times.
- Provide reports to management and users as required.
- Take a proactive role in preventing systems problems.
- Diagnose and solve problems when they arise.
- Support the Cardiology systems applications, environments, and operational interfaces.
- Provide technical development and testing and implement changes and enhancements to support scripts, or other changes to the interface engine environments.
- Develop test plans, test data, and testing schedules.
- Conduct unit and system tests to verify results of technology solutions.
- Conduct applications testing, including compiling test scripts.
- Provide business-related and technical guidance to other IS staff in the development and support of other IS systems.
- Provide programming support for the relevant departmental systems, subsystems, and related software products, in support of clinical and operational clients.
- Design, configure, and install new programs, modifications, or enhancements to existing systems.
- Analyze modifications or enhancements to determine impact on existing production systems.
- Participate in key user committees and work groups to identify new project requirements.
- Develop innovative approaches for dealing with customer needs that are aligned with information services goals and objectives.
- Perform analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic as necessary.
- Train end users in the use of equipment and software.
- Install/Perform in-house and vendor updates, in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with IS change control standards and procedures.
- May provide telecommunications technical expertise and support to users within the Hospital.
- Maintain current documentation on all specified systems.
- May research, plan, and design interfaces between a wide variety of systems to support clinical and business needs of the Hospital.
- Develop, test, document, and implement changes and enhancements to existing interfaces, support scripts, or other changes to the interface engine environment.
- Clearly track and document assigned projects and communicate project plans to stakeholders and management.
- Perform project management duties as needed.
- Develop project plans and project scope documents.
- Coordinate applications developments and migrations with developers from multiple teams.
- Provide support during non-working hours to ensure the operations of production systems in a 24 x 7 environment, if needed.
- Position involves on-call responsibility on a rotating schedule.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of previous work-related experience.
- Three to five years of previous work-related experience in the Clinical IT space.
- Knowledge of one or more Operating Systems and Databases: Microsoft Windows, UNIX, Oracle, SQL.
- Knowledge of Programming Languages where applicable: C++, Java, HTML, Python, or other.
- Knowledge of Health and Imaging protocols and applications: HL7 protocol, DICOM, EPIC.
- Degree or major in Computer Science (preferred).
- Experience with Cardiology IT apps such as Syngo Dynamics, MUSE, ISCV (preferred).
- Knowledge of Networking: TCP/IP environment (preferred).
- Provide Tier 3 Applications Support (preferred).
- Experience with Cloud Services: AWS, Azure (preferred).
- Experience with Cardiology specific Artificial Intelligence (preferred).
