THE WORK:
- You’ll ensure that all roadway and civil construction work is performed in compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
- You’ll perform daily inspection of roadway, grading, paving, and related civil work.
- You’ll verify contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
- You’ll prepare daily inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- You’ll coordinate with contractors, project managers, and client representatives.
- You’ll monitor quantities, materials testing, and field changes.
- You’ll identify and report non-conforming work and assist in resolution.
- You’ll support project controls, including schedule and progress tracking.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 5+ years of roadway or heavy civil inspection experience and experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- 2+ years of experience on bridge, roadway, or transportation infrastructure projects
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Strong knowledge of Caltrans standards and specifications preferred
- Certifications such as NICET, Caltrans, or equivalent preferred
