Full-time, in person · $21.25-$27.00 per hour
A useful quote starts before anyone discusses a final price. The customer has to describe what they need, the details have to be recorded, and the right person must confirm anything outside standard terms. The Inside Sales Support Representative helps with that groundwork and keeps inquiries moving toward a clear answer.
This work includes some quiet preparation as well as customer contact. You may check that an approved price sheet is current, organize information an account manager needs for a meeting, or review an existing inquiry before calling a customer back. These tasks require careful reading because a small difference in product details can change the answer. If a request is incomplete, ask a focused question instead of sending a quote that looks finished but rests on an assumption. The customer should understand which details are confirmed and which still need review.
You may answer a call or email from a prospective customer, ask for missing product or service details, and record the inquiry in the sales system. For a standard request, you may prepare information from approved pricing for review. If the question requires a technical answer, a discount, or a contract decision, you connect the customer with the colleague authorized to respond. You then note the handoff so the matter stays visible.
Existing customers also need support. An order may be missing a delivery detail, a quote may need a follow-up, or an account manager may ask you to check which requests are still open. You will coordinate with sales and operations so the next team receives complete information. The position does not require you to invent sales strategy or negotiate terms on your own.
You should like helping people make an informed decision without pressuring them. Clear email writing and careful handling of figures will help you succeed. Inside sales or account support experience is useful, but customer service or office administration experience can be a good foundation. The employer will teach its offerings and quoting process. We welcome applicants developing sales-support skills who can already communicate professionally and manage follow-up.
If a customer changes a quantity or asks whether a date is possible, check the current information before relaying an answer. A sales conversation can move quickly, so the record should distinguish a confirmed commitment from a request that is still being checked. When you pass a lead to an account colleague, identify the buyer’s objective and the next action instead of forwarding a chain of messages without context.
Please send a resume showing customer conversations, accurate recordkeeping, sales assistance, or order follow-up. If you have prepared quotes, include that experience, but it is not required. We are also interested in people who learned to handle detailed requests in another field. Your application should make those transferable responsibilities easy to spot. If you’re selected for the next step, you may be asked to complete an application on the hiring company’s website. We will use the information you provide to assess your fit for this opening.
A prospective buyer has an accurate response or knows when the right person will respond. A sales colleague can see the customer's needs, what information was supplied, and what remains to be decided. An operations colleague receives an order that can be processed without chasing basic facts. This support is practical, detailed work with a direct effect on the customer's experience.
There is room to learn product knowledge over time. In the beginning, checking a specification or asking an experienced teammate is preferable to a confident but incorrect answer. You will be most useful when you know the difference between a standard response and a request that needs an expert.
