Essential Functions
- Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing customers
- Identifies and locates new customers through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls
- Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of customers
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large
- Provides information, quotes, and other bid specifications to customers
- Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders
- Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency
- Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts and leads to manager
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Assist customers at the counter in a positive and professional manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Experience, Education and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- 2+ years of experience in Customer Service
- Fluid Power experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Office 365, PDF, PowerPoint)
- Familiar with common office equipment (Printers, Copier, Fax, etc.)
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Self-starter who works well independently
- Ability to prioritize given task and work efficiently towards completing them
- Detail-orientated and exceptional organizational skills
- Strong problem solver and analytical thinker
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Workday is a standard 8 hours and is spent in an office setting, sitting for extended periods of time.
