Who You Are
You are a reliable, customer-focused (a.k.a. good with people) problem solver. You effectively communicate through cooperation and teamwork. You are always looking to improve whether that’s learning something new or seeking ways to promote better quality. You are driven to do what it takes to get the job done.
Mission:
Own Loftin’s Tier 3 transactional generator accounts in the Phoenix market — quoting fast, following up relentlessly, and closing repeat-buy business. This role ensures the 300+ smaller accounts currently under-served by overloaded field reps receive dedicated, high-velocity coverage, converting T3 demand into revenue while freeing field reps to focus on the strategic accounts that drive the majority of Loftin’s top line.
Obsessions:
- Speed — same-day or next-morning quote turnaround on every T3 inbound request; faster than any competitor.
- Relentless follow-up — every open quote gets a personal call or email within 5 business days, every time.
- Salesforce discipline — 100% of contacts, quotes, and status updates logged the same day, no exceptions.
- Win rate — consistently achieving 25–35% close rate on T3 transactional accounts through coverage, not just price.
- Account development — identifying T3 accounts growing in volume and complexity and promoting them to T2 at the right moment.
Expectations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following expectations satisfactorily.
Daily
- Monitor bid platforms (Dodge Data, BidClerk, ConstructConnect, and local city/county portals) for new generator opportunities in the Phoenix market; log each in Salesforce and issue a same-day quote.
- Own all inbound T3 quote traffic — respond same-day or by next morning; never let a T3 inbound wait more than one business day.
- Log every customer contact, quote, and status update in Salesforce before end of business; incomplete logs are not acceptable.
- Execute follow-up calls or emails on open quotes older than 5 business days.
Weekly
- Issue 15–25 quotes across the active T3 account portfolio.
- Ensure 100% of open quotes have been contacted within the 5-business-day standard.
- Track pipeline, win rate, and quote volume; be ready to discuss each in the weekly Salesforce review with the Industrial Sales Manager.
- Identify accounts in the portfolio showing promotion signals — rising transaction volume, larger deal size, or requests for site visits or engineering consultation.
Monthly
- Review the T3 account book for T2 promotion candidates; flag qualifying accounts in Salesforce with supporting notes on why they qualify.
- Assess open pipeline vs. monthly revenue target; re-prioritize follow-up sequencing accordingly.
- Communicate any emerging pricing, product, or competitive patterns observed across T3 quote activity to the Industrial Sales Manager.
Quarterly
- Participate in broader Industrial Sales Division team meetings and quarterly performance reviews.
- Complete required Rehlko / KOHLER product training and certification modules as assigned via the Rehlko Learning Academy.
- Review promotion pipeline — confirm active T3→T2 handoffs are on track and account transitions are complete with no relationship gaps.
Ad Hoc
- Support warm handoff of T2-promoted accounts to the assigned field rep — introduction call or email, full transfer of quote history and account notes.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Success Metrics:
Most Critical Outcome: $1.5M–$3M in annual revenue from T3 accounts with a 25–35% win rate and 100% of open quotes followed up within 5 business days.
