Job Description - Instructional Designer I

Job Description

The Instructional Designer is part of the team that develops training materials and resources for The business store franchise network. Training developed by MBE Instructional Designers is used to provide new and continuous training to store owners and their employees on a variety of topics including store operations, POS usage, customer service, sales, product offerings and more.
This position provides a learning professional the opportunity to incorporate information form Subject Matter Experts into existing training programs for the largest franchise network of retail shipping, postal and business centers. Responsibilities include content development, maintenance and updates. This role will manage and coordinate projects with appropriate management and subject mater experts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze various sources of information in order to combine information most appropriate for the target audience and organizational needs Apply adult learning theory to work assignments Update web-based and facilitator led trainings for designated projects


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education and/or Experience: Minimum of two years of experience working designing training using a variety of methods High level of proficiency in the use of MS Word and PowerPoint
Language Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to present technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely.
Other Skills and Abilities: Project management, organizational problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills are required. The ideal candidate is proactive and able to work independently, can prioritize work effectively and take projects to completion.
