Summary of Job Duties:

The Instructor will work with the Women’s Mental Health Program (WMHP), a staple within the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI), and will provide psychiatric care to pregnant and postpartum patients.

Qualifications:

Applicants will have completed or will soon complete a psychiatric residency.

Responsibilities:

• Develops expertise in the full continuum of care for pregnant and postpartum patients with psychiatric disorders, including substance use disorders and behavioral addictions.

• Provides exemplary ambulatory and inpatient clinical training as well as research opportunities in reproductive psychiatry.

• Serves as a clinician, educator, and researcher in mental illness during the perinatal period.

• Assimilates knowledge in order to collaborate with patients, patients’ families, and members of the health care team to optimize management of a wide variety of neuropsychiatric illnesses during the peripartum period.

Additional Information:

This position is a Designated Research Position and is regulated by the Arkansas Research Education Protection Act of 2025. Prior to issuance of an offer of employment, the University is required to request and obtain additional information about an applicant’s background and, if required, conduct an additional review of that background information.
