Instructor, Career Preparation Substitute

Wage - $46,500 annually

Schedule – When needed, Monday – Friday

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for coordinating and instructing the career preparation period program for new students, in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential functions: 

• Develop, prepare, and deliver career preparation lessons; use a variety of teaching strategies to meet student learning needs. 


• Recommend an appropriate training program for each assigned student, using background files, personal interviews, tests, and a variety of other assessment tools. 


• Conduct pre-arrival contacts with potential enrollees; prepare and mail pre-arrival and safe arrival letters on a timely basis, coordinate arrival activities with other center departments. 


• Conduct pre-arrrival contacts with potential enrollees; coordinate arrival activates with other center department. 


• Participate in student employability programs and activities. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, business or related field.


• Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements. 


• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
