Insurance and Recovery | Consultant / Senior Consultant

POSITION OVERVIEW

**This position has Remote, Hybrid and In-Office options available**

Delta Consulting Group is seeking professionals with 2–6 years of experience to join our growing Insurance and Recovery practice. Our consultants and senior consultants assist clients with the preparation, analysis, and resolution of complex insurance claims. Assignments may include property damage, business interruption, and other insured losses involving numerous industries throughout the world.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Delta’s multi-disciplinary team of accounting, engineering, project advisory, and litigation professionals. Consultants will be involved in financial analysis, claim preparation, client communications, and litigation/arbitration support. Location is flexible. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field


• 2-6 years of experience in insurance claims preparation, forensic accounting, auditing, or related fields


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Proven capability with MS Excel; experience with financial modeling or data visualization tools is a plus


• Strong communications skills both written and verbal


• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments


• Adept at handling multiple projects at once and re-prioritized deadlines in a changing environment 


• CPA, CFF, CFA or other designations desirable (or in pursuit)

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform research, data collection, input, document review, and analysis of accounting, financial, statistical, and economic data, and other operational information in the preparation and evaluation of commercial insurance claims.


• Create, and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other files and claim documentation ensuring accuracy.


• Draft financial schedules, analyses, and reports for review by project leads. Specific analyses may include calculation of economic damages and lost profits, evaluation of claims related to business interruption, preparing summaries of findings and working with a team to assist in the preparation of reports, expert testimony and exhibits for a trial. 


• Work with project leads to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
