Pay: $140,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year

Location: This is a hybrid position based in Bernardsville, New Jersey, offering flexibility while maintaining regular connection with our litigation team and clients.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to the New Jersey Bar, have 5+ years of litigation experience, and have completed at least five civil trials.

Job Description

• Handle insurance defense litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Manage auto, general liability, construction, products liability, and property damage cases.
• Conduct discovery, depositions, examinations under oath, court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, reports, and client communications.
• Analyze liability, damages, exposure, and case value.
• Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Manage deadlines, case strategy, trial schedules, and billable time requirements.
• Work independently while collaborating with a strong litigation team.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing.
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Must have completed at least five civil trials.
• Insurance defense experience required.
• General liability and construction litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong writing, analytical, communication, and client service skills.
• Ability to manage a litigation caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable traveling for trials, hearings, depositions, and related case work.

  • 7 to 9 years relevant experience: $140k to $160k

  • 10 to 14 years relevant experience: $160k to $180k
