Location:
Chicago, Illinois – Full-time, on-site. Work closely with attorneys in a collaborative office environment where teamwork and mentorship are valued.

Note:
Candidates must have at least 2 years of insurance defense litigation experience. Strong organizational, case management, legal drafting, and communication skills are essential.

Job Description

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of insurance defense litigation.
• Prepare, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial schedules.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Coordinate with clients, expert witnesses, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
• Draft discovery responses, document requests, and deposition summaries.
• Assist with trial preparation, exhibit organization, and witness coordination.
• File documents in Illinois state and federal courts using electronic filing systems.
• Review medical records, invoices, and litigation documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Track billing activities and attorney deadlines while ensuring efficient case management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of insurance defense litigation paralegal experience.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois civil litigation procedures.
• Experience preparing and filing litigation documents.
• Familiarity with Illinois e-filing systems.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Paralegal certificate is a plus but not required.
