Job Description - Intake Coordinator


Job Title: Intake Coordinator 
Location: Long Beach

Job Description: As an Intake Coordinator at Glen Park Senior Living, you will play a pivotal role in welcoming new residents and facilitating a smooth transition into our community. You will be the first point of contact for families and prospective residents, guiding them through the intake process with empathy and professionalism. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting initial assessments and evaluations of potential residents to determine their care needs and preferences.
  • Collaborating with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members to develop personalized care plans.
  • Providing information about our facility, services, and amenities to prospective residents and their families.
  • Coordinating tours of the facility and conducting orientations for new residents.
  • Managing administrative tasks related to admissions, including maintaining accurate records and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all aspects of the intake process.
 Schedule:
  • 8-hour shift
  • Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
  • 9am - 5:30pm
  • Job Type: Part-time  
 Work Location: In person
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, healthcare administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an assisted senior living setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to support seniors and their families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office suite and electronic health record systems.
