Intake Coordinator - Refugee Services

The Immigrant & Refugee Services Division at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is seeking a Full Time Intake Coordinator to support  Refugee Support Services program. The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for the following primary job duties: 

• Manage reception area 
• Assist potential clients with program inquiries
• Perform initial refugee program eligibility assessments
• Direct potential clients to appropriate programs
•  Place potential refugee clients in the group enrollment appointment sheet 
• Provide general program information and community resources
•  Answer main line, distribute calls/messages accordingly
•  Manage general inbox 

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or 2 years experience in customer service or reception/front desk role
• Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole
• Previous experience in a non-profit or government setting preferred
