A premier global law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property – Life Sciences Associate Attorney to join its New York office.


This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, digital health, and life sciences companies in sophisticated intellectual property transactions and strategic commercial matters.


Ideal Background


3–6 years of intellectual property transactional experience with a focus on life sciences gained at a sophisticated law firm


• Experience representing biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, digital health, and life sciences companies, as well as investors and strategic partners


• Experience drafting and negotiating license agreements, collaboration agreements, research and development agreements, manufacturing agreements, supply agreements, commercialization agreements, and technology transfer agreements


• Experience advising clients regarding intellectual property strategy, patent licensing, technology commercialization, product development, and strategic partnerships


• Experience supporting venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and other corporate transactions involving intellectual property assets


• Familiarity with FDA regulatory considerations, data rights, patent portfolio strategy, and university technology transfer is a plus


• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills


• Ability to independently manage sophisticated IP transactions while maintaining significant client interaction


• Excellent academic credentials


J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required


• Technical background or advanced degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, biomedical engineering, pharmacy, or a related life sciences discipline is preferred


New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
