Interactive Designer

The Role:

Working with a small team of designers and developers, you'll use your experience to translate interactive problems into elegant and engaging visual solutions. The perfect candidate will have worked in several different digital mediums across the interface design spectrum, including web sites, web apps, mobile apps, dashboards, prototyping, and digital artwork. If you’re eager to work collaboratively to design solutions solving client and user needs while exceeding expectations, this is the place for you.

Applicants ideally possess the following qualities:

»Research: You are able to gather and synthesize information which informs solutions to interactive problems, including peer research, user testing, and the development of rich mood boards.

»Conceptualize: You are able to envision and share high-level concepts which will inform your design solution, bringing new and insightful ideas to the table.

»Collaborate: Working closely with other team members is in your DNA. You like to work in an open and team-oriented environment where everyone builds upon good ideas until they become great ideas.

»Organize: You bring thoughtful hierarchy and arrangement to your design solutions, ensuring that layout, type, color, and image work together to support a fully integrated design experience.

»Create: You are able to execute thoughtful visual solutions which address client needs, while over-delivering and exceeding the expectations of users who will engage with the final product.

»Deliver: When deadlines loom, you step into the gap, ensuring on-time delivery and exceptional quality.

»Present: You step forward and present your work with confidence and enthusiasm, sharing your enjoyment of the work and love of design.

You possess the following technical skills:

  Excellent visual design and typographic skills

  Experience developing visual identity systems

  
  


• 
  

  A mind for information design and user experience design

  
  


• 
  

  Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)

  Experience with Hype, Radii or general HTML5 animation/game programming is a big plus!

  Experience directly realizing your design vision in HTML, CSS and JavaScript

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum 2 years of experience within an agency or startup setting
