Job Description - Interlibrary Loan and Reserves Librarian - University Libraries

Position Summary

The Interlibrary Loan and Reserves Librarian oversees the interlibrary lending and borrowing and course reserves operations. The librarian develops policies, procedures and workflows for the interlibrary loan and reserves operations including copyright compliance and routine statistical reporting. This position manages and leads a team of 4 FTE. The Interlibrary Loan and Reserves Librarian assesses existing operations and implements new services in order to meet the University’s research, teaching, and learning needs.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage interlibrary lending and borrowing, and course reserves operations including representing WU Libraries in resource sharing consortia, copyright compliance, and routine statistical reporting.
  • Provide effective and timely supervision of staff and student employees including training, career development, and performance management.
  • Develop policies, procedures and workflows to achieve greater efficiencies in operations and to improve customer service. Conduct periodic assessment of policies and services and implement new services to satisfy customer needs.
  • Assist customers with a wide variety of research questions including interpreting and explaining policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
