Internal Compliance Auditor

Role Summary

As an Internal Compliance Auditor, you will help safeguard regulatory adherence and the strength of internal financial controls. This role supports timely, well-documented audits that surface risk, confirm control effectiveness, and promote consistent compliance practices.

Key responsibilities include monitoring compliance, executing and coordinating monthly/quarterly/annual audit work; preparing clear audit reports for leadership and board-level review; partnering with external auditors and regulatory examiners; completing internal control and compliance risk assessments; and coordinating and delivering required compliance training.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Working knowledge of FFIEC/OCC guidance and related financial regulations
- Experience with audit procedures, internal controls, and risk assessments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with ACL, TeamMate, or similar audit tools
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills

A Typical Day

You’ll work onsite in Sandy, UT (84070) on a Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. Your day is structured around focused review time, documentation, and stakeholder touchpoints—balancing independent analysis with scheduled check-ins. Expect time in Excel and audit platforms organizing evidence, drafting narratives that translate findings into clear business language, and preparing materials for upcoming meetings. You’ll also field questions from partners across the organization, align on timelines, and keep audit calendars moving so deliverables stay predictable and well-controlled. The pace is steady and detail-driven, with emphasis on accuracy, traceability, and professional communication.
