This isn't a "read from the manual" kind of role. You'll be working with real people, in real time, helping them understand everything from day-to-day procedures to the bigger picture of why their work is so important to our persons served.
What You'll Do
- Deliver one-on-one training for new hires and existing staff
- Follow established training programs and curricula
- Track progress, completion, and competency
- Document progress and adjust your approach when something isn't clicking
- Stay current on policy and procedure updates so your training reflects the latest information
- Provide feedback to supervisors on trainee progress and concerns
- Model the standards and expectations you're teaching
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication skills - you can explain things clearly without talking down to people
- Confidence in front of a group, whether it's 2 people or 20
- Reliability - you show up, you follow through, and you don't cut corners
- Accountability - if it's your session, you own it
- Patience and adaptability when people learn at different speeds
- Attention to detail, especially when it comes to documentation
To Apply
Complete our self-assessment application. We're not looking for perfect scores. We're looking for self-awareness and honesty.
Note: This is not a separate role but a component of the DSP role for those wanting to advance in their DSP careers.
