Highlights:

Summary: The Interventional Radiologic Technologist shall perform the duties involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for detecting pathology. The Technologist shall perform invasive angiographic/cardiovascular/interventional imaging procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury. In addition, this individual will provide patient education and perform quality assessment activities. Additionally, the Technologist will assist in training of Radiology students. This position may have additional duties assigned within scope of the role.

Education / Experience:Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology required. Active post-secondary registry in Vascular Interventional or actively working to collect clinical hours necessary to become registry eligible through ARRT in Vascualar Intervention.
License / Certification: Active ARRT Radiography required, BLS required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
• Must have the ability to work within rigid time constraints.
• Must remain aware of patient conditions at all times.
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills.Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Position requires sitting for 10% of the workday and mobility 90% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
