REQUIRED PROCEDURES/DUTIES
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients by various radiologic imaging modalities (fluoroscopy, digital radiography, CT, sonography, and MRI). Core privileges include:
  • Angiography, Arthrography
  • Catheter based diagnostic arteriography & venography
  • Catheter based therapeutic arterial and venous procedures 
  • Coil occlusions of aneurysms (excluding intracranial)
  • Chest tube placement
  • Image-guided biopsy, injections, aspirations, and drainage procedures
    • genitourinary, hepatobiliary, GI, MSK, tumor Therapy and ablation
  • Insertion and management of central venous and dialysis access catheters
  • Lymphangiography
  • Lumbar puncture, myelography, and interventional pain management (epidural steroid injection, facet injection, nerve blocks)
  • Therapeutic infusion of vasoactive agents
  • Therapeutic vascular radiology
  • Transcervical fallopian tube recanalization and hysterosalpingography
  • Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS)
  • Uterine artery embolization
  • Vertebral augmentation procedures
  • U/S guided Para/thoracentesis
  • Fluoroscopic guided lumbar puncture

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC/BE
  • Licenses: TN or IMLC
  • DEA: Active
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform interventional radiology procedures including angiography, catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, image-guided biopsies, drainages, and ablations.
  • Provide on-site clinical coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm on the Chattanooga campus.
  • Provide call coverage including weeknights (4pm–8am) and weekends/holidays (8am–8am) as scheduled.
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, including performance of history and physical exams and communication of critical findings.
  • Participate in pre- and postoperative management of endovascular patients and order rehabilitation services as needed.
