Role Responsibilities



  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures.

  • Assist radiologists in performing diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures.

  • Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for procedures.

  • Monitor patient vital signs and maintain a high level of safety during procedures.

  • Administer contrast agents and monitor for adverse reactions.

  • Maintain patient records and document the results of imaging procedures.

  • Educate patients and their families about procedures and safety measures.

  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

  • Adhere to safety and infection control standards.

  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of radiology equipment.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Participate in continuing education and training as required.

  • Assist in research and development of new radiological procedures.

  • Stay updated with advancements in interventional radiology technology.

  • Report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate personnel.


Qualifications



  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or equivalent education.

  • Certification as an Interventional Radiology Technician preferred.

  • Current CPR and BLS certifications.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

  • Strong understanding of radiology procedures and patient care.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Proficient in handling radiology equipment and software.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

  • Valid state licensing and registration as required by law.
