The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the management and administration of $20M+ of inventory to support operational efficiency, accurate reporting, and financial objectives. This role involves analyzing and maintaining inventory data, resolving discrepancies with third party warehouses, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to inventory policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, analytical, proficient in data tools and ERP systems, and collaborates seamlessly across various departments. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate stock levels and costs, understanding and streamlining complex inventory processes, as well as supporting supply chain performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed for the Position:
Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations preferred
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple warehouses and internal parties simultaneously
High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related software systems
AI proficiency preferred
Excellent communication skills for internal and warehouse coordination
Attention to detail and commitment to timely follow-up
Ability to apply proper cost allocation and identify incorrect billings from warehouses
Self-starter with a collaborative attitude
Eager to work through complex issues, create solutions, and coordinate outside of email
Responsibilities:
Review and approve all warehouse billings against contracts and quotes, including but not limited to storage, handling, redressing, and converting costs and their proper application within the ERP
Maintain contractual documents and update costs in Cietrade
Monthly, cross-reference cieTrade reported inventory with warehouse inventory and resolve any discrepancies by working internally and externally
Convert import supplier packing lists and send to destination warehouses as needed
Update relevant inventory in cieTrade according to OS&D reports received from warehouses and coordinate next steps to resolve
Analyze and report on slow-moving material and associated stock call-off trends
Persistent follow up across departments and externally to resolve inventory issues, including but not limited to identifying, administering, and resolving duplicate inventory, damaged/aged stock, warehouse transfers, etc.
Assist in claims processing; working with in-house counsel as needed
Develop a cadence and metrics for an executive summary of inventory after collaborating with management
Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not currently have direct reports.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
This position will require occasional travel
