INVENTORY COORDINATOR
Schedule: Full-Time | 36 Hours
Position Summary For over 40 years, North Hill, a not-for-profit senior living community located in Needham, Massachusetts, has provided vibrant living opportunities to people 65+ by offering a host of hospitality, wellness and health care services. The Inventory Coordinator for assisting the Inventory department in day-to-day operations across the campus. This position may also provide assistance to the Facilities department on an as-needed basis. - Assists in maintaining stock room in an orderly fashion under supervision of manager
- Assists in breakdown and stocking of any deliveries
- Fills and delivers any stock requests to departments across the campus as needed
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the stock rooms across campus including sweeping/mopping floors, removing trash and any other items needing to go to the dumpster
- Assists with all inventory counts during the year
- Assists with any other tasks assigned by the manager
- Complies with all safety/environmental procedures, including LIFO/FIFO and hazardous control
- Meets department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements
- Complies with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong customer support skills
- Complies with protection of health information (HIPAA) safeguards
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Work professionally with people from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with Team Members, Residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- When working in Resident areas, must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Attends and participates in in-service educational classes, Healthcare Academy and staff meetings as directed
- Must be knowledgeable of LIFO/FIFO procedures
- Must be able to use hand trucks, flat bed carts and pallet jacks
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of basic trades preferred
- Proficient with computer software programs
