Job Description - Inventory Production Technician

Scope and Summary of the Position:


The Inventory Production Technician handles receiving, labeling, packaging, and storing cannabis goods, maintains the inventory workspace, processes goods for wholesale, and ensures compliance with policies and regulations. This role focuses on producing ready-to-sell cannabis products for wholesale distribution. Reporting to the Distribution General Manager, you'll work on cannabis product production and may take on additional related tasks.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform packaging tasks for all products as required



  • Collaborate daily with team members on the packaging line



  • Conduct quality checks on all cannabis products to ensure readiness for sale



  • Accurately document each step of the packaging process for each product type



  • Inspect packages for quality control compliance to confirm they meet standards



  • Identify and document failed products that do not pass quality control checks



  • Verify labeling and batch information for post-labeling and boxing



  • Ensure the packaging area remains organized and clean



  • Monitor for contaminants that may affect the quality of the product



  • Prepare finished items for delivery to wholesale customers



  • Ensure accuracy of wholesale orders prior to delivery



  • Monitor and maintain proper storage to ensure a full shelf life of product



  • Additional production and distribution tasks as assigned



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Must be 21 years or older.



  • Professional appearance, attitude, and interpersonal/social skills



  • Must complete the application and Cannabis Commission licensing process in a timely and professional manner.



  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Share Point, Google sheets, etc.



  • 2+ years of working in a team-centered environment



  • Manufacturing experience or working in a distribution setting preferred



  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with peers, supervisors, and managers



  • Willing to help in other areas of the operation if needed



  • The ideal candidate will be well organized, self-motivated, honest, trustworthy, and articulate with a strong sense of brand integrity with excellent attention to detail and great organizational and time management skills



  • Able to work independently when required and have strong follow-through


Physical Demands:


The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   • The individual is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time



  • The individual is occasionally required to bend, stretch, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and to reach with hands and arms



  • The individual is occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.



  • This individual is occasionally required to use tools, machinery, chemicals, and packaging equipment.



  • Uneven surfaces, stand/sit long periods of time, bending/stooping, or hard surfaces



  • Maybe required to wear PPE



  • Working in a cultivation environment, which can include no natural light, varying temperatures, and louder than normal ambient noise



  • May be required to work outdoors and/or during inclement weather.
