Job Description - Inventory Specialist - 2nd Shift

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Inventory Specialist - 2nd Shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Inventory Specialist- 2nd Shift role offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. Hours: 1:45pm-10:15pm. Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you as a full time employee.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $27.00 and $1.00 shift premium per hour. Position comes with an additional $1.00 shift premium. Position will consist of training on 1st shift for a minimum of 4 weeks. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Inventory Specialist is responsible for support management as needed to accomplish Eaton\u2019s overall objectives of providing on-time delivery of quality products. Support and initiate actions with management to ensure that personnel comply to the company\u2019s policies and performance/productivity levels.\n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Be responsible for root cause analysis on troubled inventory \n\u2022 Ability to find lost inventory items \n\u2022 Ability to understand inputs and outputs of inventory systems \n\u2022 Ability perform cycle counting as needed \n\u2022 Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision \n\u2022 Ability to coordinate with team lead, inventory workers, and material handlers to solve various issues. \n\u2022 Ability to effective use ERP systems and basic Microsoft applications (excel) \n\u2022 Ability to work cross functional across plants \n\u2022 Ability to operate forklift and electrical pallet jack as needed. \n\u2022 Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. \n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\n\n * High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required\n * 2+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment\n * Previous experience performing cycle counts with inventory\n * Ability to perform documentation within a WMS\n * Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future\n * No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Santa Ana, CA location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * 5+ years of experience in a warehouse environment\n * Prior experience with Microsoft applications\n * Prior experience or knowledge with SAP system.\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. \n\u2022 Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs and charts. \n\u2022 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. \n\u2022 Ability to solve complex practical problems \n\u2022 Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, and reassign priorities \n\u2022 Ability to deal with a wide variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists \n\u2022 Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form \n\u2022 Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines \n\u2022 Ability to inspire, motivate and influence diverse global teams \n\u2022 Ability to lead and work in cross-functional multi-cultural teams \n\u2022 Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly \n\u2022 Individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. \n\u2022 Individual must be able to express and/or exchange ideas by means of listening and using spoken word \n\u2022 Individual must have the visual acuity to perform essential job functions \n\u2022 Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull. \n\n#IND123\n\n#IND456\n\n#LI-KM1\n\n#LI-RR2\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
