Inventory Specialist - Outpatient Cardiology Center

WORK SHIFT: Monday - Friday: 7:30a - 4:00p

JOB SUMMARY: 

Serves as the Inventory Control Specialist for the Outpatient Cardiology Center by ordering and maintaining adequate inventory, maintaining appropriate consignment levels, maintaining and overseeing central supply items, and assisting leadership in managing all things related to supplies, products, & inventory, etc.  This specialist will also carry out inventory counts and verifications twice per year in conjunction with others.  The specialist will be responsible for supply charge and procedure charge entry daily and reviewing the charges/error work list.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent is required.  Good interpersonal, organizational ability, communication, human relations and decision-making skills required.   Previous medical billing and coding and/or pervious materials management experience preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must possess good physical health.  Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.  Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.  

Physical Effort required:        

Constant (67%-100%) – talking, hearing, seeing

Frequently (34%-66%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, stooping, reaching, handling/feeling

Occasionally (1%-33%) – climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, crawling
