IRL Supervisor- Blood Bank

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a high-performing laboratory team through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.


• Partner with the Medical Director to support quality patient care and laboratory operations.


• Oversee complex blood bank testing, quality control, validations, and regulatory compliance.


• Ensure testing accuracy, resolve technical issues, and maintain quality standards.


• Manage training, competency assessments, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.


• Support department budgets, supply purchases, and operational excellence.

Schedule

Monday–Friday | Day Shift
Flexible start and end times based on business needs. Minimal on-call responsibilities and no routine holiday coverage.

Compensation

$80,000–$100,000 annually (based on experience)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a biological or related field and SBB (ASCP) equivalent required. State license may be required where applicable


• 5+ years of high-complexity blood bank experience.


• Previous leadership or management experience preferred.


• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
